FREE Safety Sessions

What is a Safety Session?

 A Safety Session will help you to better understand the scooter controls, including how to stop it in an emergency, how to swivel your seat, manually reverse your scooter backwards and more. Demonstrate the correct use and limitations of your scooter or powered wheelchair to become a safer driver and avoid suffering injuries either to yourself or others around you.

 Safety Sessions are FREE and take less than two hours of

your time.

By appointment, the Scooter Tutor will meet you and a 'chaperone' (a relative, neighbour or friend) at your home or another suitable place. See the map below for the area we cover (all of the Horsham district).

After a short discussion about your scooter, your experience and your requirements, you will be accompanied on a tour of your locality by the Tutor who will explain the best and safe way to drive. S/He will clearly explain and answer your questions.

​

 It may not be very different from your usual scooter driving routine, but we guarantee that you will learn to be safer.

​

 This hands-on approach allows you to practice your skills in your familiar locality and improve your driving and manoeuvring skills.

​

 You will have the opportunity to safely cross roads, navigate pavements, and, when possible, explore shops — while identifying potential hazards and learning effective strategies for safety from your Scooter Tutor.

​

 You can attend again if you want. Still FREE!

 This is not a test. There is no 'pass' or 'fail'

 If you are considering getting a scooter, you can ride our scooter for free during a Safety Session.
