Is that true? What are our local police are doing to investigate crime? Do officers even attend the scene when a crime is reported? Do Sussex police do anything to prevent crime from happening nowadays? Do we support our local police enough?

Anything else I should know? Following Katy Bourne, we intend to hold a brief Forum AGM. I shall, after ten years, be standing down as Chairman at the AGM. Graham Sitton, a long-standing Forum committee member, has kindly put himself forward for the position. I will continue to support the Forum and will offer to stay on as a committee member.
Thank you for your continuing and valued support for the Forum and older people across our great District.
Martin Bruton
Chairman
The Horsham District Older Peoples Forum (HDOPF) is an independent, non-political, voluntary group that is free to attend and participate in. It acts as the 'ears' and gives a 'voice' to people aged 60 and over who reside in the Horsham District Council area or care for someone who is. The forum exists for anyone to raise issues related to or affecting local older people. The Forum holds quarterly public meetings within the district. We take action where possible on issues raised, i.e. take up with local councils or with a project; we also act as an information hub and consultative group for anyone seeking the views of older people in the district on particular plans, topics, or schemes that may affect older people.
The Forum is working towards an 'Age-Friendly' and 'Dementia Friendly' Horsham.
