The next Horsham District Older Peoples Forum public meeting is 10am Tuesday 4th October 2022.
What do you want to ask our guest speakers? We have the Leader of Horsham District Council, Cllr Jonathan Chowen. Do you know what plans your Council has? Will they affect you? Does water neutrality mean no new housing developments? Are our wonderful Parks now safe from being sold for development? Lets ask him.
We also have Laura Robertson from the Sussex NHS Commissioners to update us on the latest NHS situation including the Covid booster programme roll out, Flu jabs, access to GP's and she will answer all your questions as usual. We also have a representative from the Co-op telling us about 'Tax, Care & Toyboys' which sounds fascinating and informative.
If you have a question for any of our guest speakers that you would like to have put, then please email hdopforum@gmail.com so we can do our best to make sure they get asked.
We will squeeze a short AGM into the agenda including voting in the Committee, so if you have a little time and would like to contribute your undoubted life skills towards the great work of the Forum, then please come forward and join us.
We also have an updated Constitution to agree. The draft Constitution (and current one) can be viewed here
As always we will have time for anyone to raise an issue that affects older people in our district. One issue that will be discussed is the lack of dropped kerbs for mobility scooters, wheelchairs etc. Can you assist as to where this is an issue?
Those who attend our meetings are always positive afterwards, have enjoyed themselves and say they have learnt something useful and new. Come along and enjoy the experience for yourself.
All our Forum meetings are free to take part in, so come along either in person, at Age UK, Lavinia House, Dukes Square, Denne Road, Horsham RH12 1GZ or
via Zoom (For fuller zoom joining info i.e. join in by phone, please email hdopforum@gmail.com ) or use the contact us button on our website.
